Zoe Manna Ministries · Manna Home -An Invitation into a New Season
“If you spend yourselves on behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed,
then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday. …
you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.”
Zoe Manna Ministries is an organization entrusted by God with a special mission—a place of prayer, worship, and mission.
From 2010 until today, we have watched God grow and reshape this ministry again and again, leading us to reach many different kinds of people—from girls caught in drug addiction in the beginning, to those living on the streets; then turning to serve missionaries and international students. From there, God led us further across Asia, and into remote mountain and tribal communities.
Later, God gave us a clear direction: to take up something in Xincheng, Hualien that we had never done before and did not know how to do—the transformation of a school and its community. Through this journey we came alongside two schools in Hualien County, with more than fifty teachers, over two hundred and fifty students, and their parents and families. With our own eyes we have seen many lives changed and transformed. This is a road we never knew we could walk—because of the support and encouragement of so many, and even more because the mighty hand of God has held us all the way, we have come this far.
Thank you all for your help and support over this time.
Over the past three years, we have watched more than fifty teachers and students experience real change through deep companionship. The most important change, I believe, is that the way they see life is no longer the same—they have learned to face hardship and difficulty with love, and slowly learned to communicate and to voice their own true needs.
In these years we have seen not only the growth of teachers, but also more than two hundred and fifty children begin to experience what it means to be seen, to be known, to be understood, and to be accompanied. Their living environments have improved and their family relationships have begun to change, so that children can grow up in a friendly, healthy environment—and have the chance to learn what it means to love and to be loved.
For a long time, our way has been to go into the schools and into the community. We will keep going in. But now we also want to invite people to come in to us—to our experience center, to encounter “Seedling Transformation: Five Pillars and Three Cornerstones” for themselves.
We are opening a storefront on Xincheng Old Street, and we hope to shape it into an experience center: a place with workshops, and a place that serves breakfast, so that children who have none can come for a warm morning meal. Coffee and lemonade will be ready too, so that everyone who walks through the door can sit down and be welcomed. Our doors are open to the community, in the hope that everyone who steps inside will have the chance to experience and learn the transformation of life.
And Manna Home is also a resting place for weary birds—a place where those who wander can stop, and be caught and held. It is a place of prayer and mission, where the fire of God is kindled and set ablaze.
All of this is fruit that Manna Home and Zoe Manna Ministries (ZMM) have borne along the way. Beginning this August, the name of Manna Home will be seen by more people, and known by more schools and more places. This is the start of a new season—one we await with great expectation, and to which we invite you to come and witness alongside us.
Please continue to pray for us without ceasing, and thank you for your faithful giving and all you have poured out along the way. May God remember every step you have walked with us, and bless you with His own hand.
