Still reeling 💫

Last Thursday at Hollywood Bowl we had the privilege of being part of something truly historic! We celebrated 17 years of Gustavo Dudamel as Music & Artistic Director of Los Angeles Philharmonic in his final weekend at the Bowl.

Here are some photos from the stage of the world premiere of “Hymns of the Heart” by Michael Giacchino narrated by Amanda Gorman and conducted by the Maestro himself.

Four years of extraordinary leadership thanks to Dete Meserve ❤️

We celebrated our outgoing Board Chair, Dete Meserve, at our July Board of Directors meeting. She is a film and TV producer, bestselling author, and one of the greatest champions LACC has ever had. Over the past four years, Dete led our board with vision, heart and an unshakeable belief that music education changes lives.

Moment Nine: The Documentary

How do squeaky-voiced eight-year-olds become extraordinary singers? In 2001, Academy Award-winning filmmaker Freida Lee Mock set out to find out — following LACC through a full season in the documentary "Sing!" The film was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Documentary Short and aired on PBS stations nationwide.

Forty years later, the story is still unfolding. ❤️
