Looking back on an unforgettable summer at Camp Amaras! ☀️ From exciting field trips and special guest visitors to creative activities and new adventures, this summer was truly one for the books. A heartfelt thank you to our incredible counselors, music teacher, athletics coach, dance instructor, and Camp Director Karina, who worked tirelessly to create meaningful experiences for our campers and make this our biggest and best summer yet!

Mad Science of Central LA brought science to life with an exciting, interactive show that sparked curiosity and imagination at Camp Amaras!

Campers explored the wonders of science through fascinating demonstrations featuring air pressure, bubbling potions, fire, and even “Eggbert,” an animated egg who needed help fitting into his house. From mysterious disappearing flames to “ice” that never melts and a dramatic fog-filled stage, every experiment encouraged campers to observe, ask questions, form hypotheses, and discover the magic of science through hands-on learning.

Coach Alique has been an energetic and inspiring part of all four weeks of summer camp, keeping campers active, engaged, and smiling through a variety of sports and team-building activities.

From basketball, soccer, volleyball, and relay races to parachute games, Sharks and Minnows, and Red Light/ Green Light, she encouraged teamwork, confidence, and healthy fun every step of the way.

A well-known youth athletics coach in the Pasadena community, Coach Alique also coaches at Hovsepian School and is currently studying Business Administration at Woodbury University. We are grateful for her enthusiasm and dedication to making this summer an unforgettable experience for our campers.

Creativity took center stage at Camp Amaras as the multitalented Vahe Berberian joined our campers for a truly unforgettable visit. Through interactive improv activities, campers explored their imaginations, shared what they dream of becoming when they grow up, and participated in engaging mirroring games that encouraged teamwork, confidence, and self-expression.

Filled with laughter, creativity, and meaningful conversations, Vahe’s visit gave our campers a unique experience they will remember long after summer ends.
