The Filipino American Chamber of Commerce Greater Pasadena (FACC-GP), together with the Philippine Nurses Association of Southern California (PNASC), made possible by the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health (LADMH) and California Mental Health Services Authority (CalMHSA), successfully held a Mental Health First Aid training on April 25, 2026, at Eagle Rock City Hall. The event brought together business owners, professionals, health care workers, and community members who wanted to learn how to better support people facing mental health challenges. Participants completed a full-day course where they learned how to recognize warning signs, respond in situations, and guide others to the right help.
The training was well attended, showing strong interest from the community. Attendees left with simple, practical tools they can use in their workplaces and daily lives. The chamber continues to support programs that promote mental wellness and stronger communities.
