Dear Blue Skyes Family,
It is with profound sadness that I share an update about the Morris Family.
Early yesterday morning, Jerry Morris passed away after his courageous battle with cancer. Jerry stood by his son with unwavering strength, even as he faced his own fight. His love for his family, his quiet resilience, and his devotion to Sabina, Chayse, Chance, and Jeremy were evident to all who knew him.
Please keep the Morris Family close in your hearts today. They are now carrying a weight no family should ever have to bear — grieving a beloved husband and father while continuing to fight alongside Chayse through his treatment for Leukemia B ALL.
I ask our Blue Skyes community to surround them with compassion, prayers, and gentle encouragement. Your words, your memories, and your presence mean more than you may ever know.
The family continues to request privacy on their personal social media accounts. Please share your support here, within our Blue Skyes family, where they can feel the strength of this community without being overwhelmed. As I learn about funeral arrangements, I will pass those along.
Let us honor Jerry’s memory by lifting up the Morris Family with the same love and solidarity he showed them every day.
Jerry meant a great deal to the Fowler Family. He loved and accepted Kevin like his own son from the very first day they met. Annette and I felt that every time Jerry was around Kevin.
Kevin and I spent a lot of time with Jerry and Chayse these last few years. We shared the hobby of flying drones, and Jerry took so much joy in watching Kevin experience something meaningful with his father. Eventually, Chayse was able to share that same bond with Jerry. I will always remember the day Chayse flew that drone — pride, hope, and love rained down from Jerry in a way I will never forget. I thank God I was able to witness it. The same as I thank God that all of you had the opportunity to get to know Jerry.
With love and deepest sympathy,
Alan Fowler
