This Pride Month, we celebrate the strength, resilience, and contributions of LGBTQ+ individuals in our communities.

At Jericho Road Pasadena, we believe that thriving communities are built when everyone has the opportunity to belong, contribute, and lead. We are grateful for the nonprofit leaders, volunteers, and community members who work every day to create a more inclusive and equitable future.

Happy Pride Month!

POLL BELOW ✍🏼💭
Most of us in service roles are better at holding others than at letting ourselves be held.
Something shifts when we can allow ourselves to be truly seen and witnessed. Not fixed, just witnessed, with compassion.

Session 3 of Practicing Joy in Times of Crisis is an interactive virtual gathering exploring exactly that.
Session 3 (Virtual) Seeing & Being Seen: Compassion in Community Thursday, June 18 at 12:00–1:00 PST
Led by Hala Khouri

Details + registration link in bio.

Sessions are intended to support those impacted by the 2025 Los Angeles wildfires. Presented in partnership with Jericho Road, and thanks to California Community Foundation’s Wildfire Recovery Fund.

When things get hard, do you:
A) Reach out and ask for support
B) Hold it quietly and carry on alone
(be honest)

Compassion in Community: Seeing and Being Seen

🗓️ June 18th 12-1 PM on ZOOM

We’re so excited to offer our next wellness session in our Practicing Joy in Times of Crisis series. In this virtual gathering we’ll reflect on why it can be so hard to ask for support, and how being witnessed with compassion can lighten the weight we carry. In community, we can rekindle our hope and co-create joy while we heal and rebuild. 🌿

Recognizing Volunteers Who Help Nonprofits Thrive

We’re grateful for volunteers like Mila Milivoievici, who use their accounting and financial expertise to support nonprofits behind the scenes and help strengthen their day-to-day operations.

As a repeat volunteer with Jericho Road Pasadena, Mila has worked on projects ranging from QuickBooks setup and bookkeeping transitions to tax filing reviews, financial analyses, and process improvements. Her work helps organizations create more efficient systems and stronger financial foundations for the future.

In one recent project, Mila guided a nonprofit through the transition from spreadsheets to QuickBooks by developing a customized chart of accounts, building reporting tools, and creating systems to simplify ongoing financial management.

“It’s rewarding to know that my expertise helps a nonprofit’s mission, whether by improving their systems, streamlining operations, or solving specific challenges.”

Volunteers like Mila show how professional skills can make a lasting impact by helping nonprofits operate more effectively and focus on serving their communities.
