Crazy Rich Asians is coming to HBO! 🎬✨

Asian Hall of Fame Inductees Kevin Kwan, Adele Lim, and Jon M. Chu are reuniting to bring the beloved franchise to television with a new eight-episode drama series.

Based on Kwan’s bestselling novels, the series will pick up where the groundbreaking 2018 film left off, welcoming back original cast members Constance Wu, Henry Golding, Ronny Chieng, and Michelle Yeoh 楊紫瓊.

With Lim leading the adaptation and Kwan and Chu serving as executive producers, the creative team is continuing the legacy of Asian representation and storytelling in Hollywood.

It was a beautiful evening at Waverley Country Club for our Power of Portland celebration. Together, we gathered leaders, advocates, and community members in support of our 100 National Scholarship Awards for women across 32 states and Puerto Rico. ✨

Special thanks to 2024 Inductees Daniel Nguyen and Katherine Lam for helping bring Power of Portland back for its second year. We were also honored to welcome Distinguished Speaker Richelle Tustin Luther of Columbia Sportswear, with a fireside chat moderated by KOIN 6 Anchor Elizabeth Dinh.

Congratulations to Sport Oregon CEO Jim Etzel, who received the Founders Award for his service as an inaugural National Scholarship Committee Member.

We are especially grateful to Wells Fargo, Oregon Vietnamese American Cultural Center, Sokol Blosser W**ery, and Relay Resources for their renewed support. ❤️ This year, we also launched our Accessibility Ambassador Help Desk in partnership with Relay Resources, helping make Asian Hall of Fame programs more inclusive and accessible.

The evening came to life through musical performances, meaningful conversation, and our Heritage Costume Show.

Together, we are the Power of Portland!
