Young & Healthy The mission of Young & Healthy is to enhance the health of families by providing access to high quality health care and wellness education.

We envision a future where all families in our community flourish in health and wellness. Vision: We envision a future in which all children in our community have a "village" that cares about them and an equal opportunity for a healthy life. Young & Healthy is based on the two-fold conviction that every child should have access to quality health care, regardless of their family's income, and that

giving a child early and consistent medical attention is an investment in the future of the community. Young & Healthy's program arranges free medical, dental, and psychological services for low income and underserved children in Pasadena, Altadena, South Pasadena and Sierra Madre. Generous volunteer physicians, dentists, therapists, optometrists, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals treat the children Young & Healthy refers to them free of charge in their own offices. Young & Healthy has proven that if enough people volunteer their services, a community can make a substantial difference in the lives of its children.

Young & Healthy has always been powered by people. Our new identity celebrates this ecosystem of care and the belief that every child in the greater Pasadena area deserves to grow up safe, supported, and healthy.

This new chapter is an invitation. You can stand in the space between youth and health as a donor, volunteer, healthcare provider, school partner, or advocate, each role helping to strengthen the safety net for our most vulnerable children.

This past week, our amazing community volunteers bundt together to spread some sweetness! 🧁
They baked, wrapped, and delivered Bundt cakes to all of our incredible professional volunteers and community partners—from doctors and dentists to mental health professionals and beyond.

Same mission. Fresh look. As Pasadena has grown and changed, so has Young & Healthy. What began in 1990 as 19 volunteer physicians has become a network of hundreds of healthcare professionals, community partners, and volunteers supporting underserved children and their families. We are excited to be introducing a new brand identity! Our name has always carried a quiet idea: the power of “&”. Not just a word, it is the space where connection happens. Our new Young & Healthy Brand ID uses the ampersand as a typographic shorthand for two forces, brought together with intention, becoming something stronger. Not a service and a patient, but a bridge between care and community, prevention and possibility, childhood and a healthier adulthood. It reflects an organization that operates in the space between, linking prevention to possibility and community to clinical support. In its simplest form, it makes visible the quiet infrastructure of trust: structured where it needs to be and human where it matters most.

It is a reminder that meaningful progress is rarely a solo act.It affirms that you can be Young AND Healthy, without having to choose. It happens when we show up for one another and move together.  Follow us here to learn how you can get involved and help every child have the chance to be Young & Healthy.

Early this morning, we celebrated the arrival of the trailers for this week’s Mobile Dental Clinic at Washington Elementary.

Our Young & Healthy team has worked tirelessly to ensure 100 children are registered and ready to receive FREE dental care.

We’re incredibly proud to be the only Pasadena-based nonprofit bringing this clinic to our community—serving our most vulnerable students with dignity, compassion, and the care they deserve. 💙
