Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) was formally founded on June 10, 1935, when co-founder Dr. Robert Smith took his final drink following a transformative meeting with stockbroker Bill Wilson in Akron, Ohio
We are people who normally would not mix, now to be found in 180 countries, brothers and sisters in a global Fellowship numbering over 2 million, and it began when 2 men started to share the solution they themselves had embraced
So, here we are, 91 years on, June 10th 2026, Founders Day. Happy Birthday and Thank GOD for AA!
