Take the stage with Pasadena Dance Theatre this holiday season! 🩰

We’re inviting experienced ballet artists to audition for PDT’s annual production of The Nutcracker, performed at the historic San Gabriel Mission Playhouse.

Featuring choreography by Jessamyn Vedro, this production brings professional and pre-professional dancers together for one of PDT’s most anticipated performances of the year.

We’re thrilled to welcome Guest Choreographer Norbert De La Cruz III Norbert De La Cruz III to PDT!✨

Norbert will be joining us August 17th–22nd to create a brand-new work with our Advanced dancers for CONVERGENCE, challenging them artistically and inspiring new creative possibilities.

Born in the Philippines and raised in Los Angeles, Norbert is an acclaimed choreographer, performer, and educator. He holds a BFA from The Juilliard School and an MFA from Hollins University and is currently Resident Choreographer for Saint Louis Dance Theatre.

A recipient of the Princess Grace Foundation-USA Choreography Fellowship, Norbert has created works for companies including BalletX, Ballet Memphis, Richmond Ballet, Nashville Ballet, Dallas Black Dance Theatre, Grand Rapids Ballet, and Hubbard Street 2. His work has also been developed through the Alvin Ailey New Directions Choreography Lab, National Choreographic Initiative, and New York Choreographic Institute.

We’re so excited to have Norbert in the studio and for our Advanced dancers to experience his creative process. We can’t wait to share this new work with you at CONVERGENCE, October 17th–18th at the PDT Studio Theater!

The season begins with CONVERGENCE, an evening celebrating the artists, collaborators, and creative relationships that make Pasadena Dance Theatre unique. 🩰 Elementary Division Summer Session begins this Saturday! ☀️

We’re excited to welcome our youngest dancers back to the studio for six weeks of dancing, creativity, and fun!

Join us Saturdays, July 11th–August 15th, for our Elementary Division Summer Session.

Whether your child is continuing their ballet journey or stepping into the studio for the very first time, our program is the perfect way to stay active, build confidence, and keep dancing all summer long.
