šŸ” A LONG-HELD GOAL IS NOW A REALITY!

We are excited to announce the opening of Harambee Ministriesā€™ Transitional Living Home, a safe, stable, and supportive home for young adults transitioning out of foster care.

For more than 40 years, Harambee has been committed to walking alongside young people and families in our community. This new home represents another step in that commitment: ensuring young adults leaving foster care donā€™t have to navigate adulthood alone.

Through our partnership with Stepping Forward LA, residents will have access to housing, resources, supportive services, and community-based care designed to help them build a strong foundation for their future.

This is more than a house. Itā€™s a home, a fresh start, and a pathway toward independence. šŸ’œ

A huge shoutout to the Change Reaction for purchasing all the furniture and everyday items our young people need to thrive!

We are grateful to everyone who helped turn this vision into reality. The work continues, and weā€™re excited for whatā€™s ahead!

manny is a cinematographer from Pasadena, California, with experience working across music videos, commercials, documentaries, and narrative productions. His passion for visual storytelling has led him to collaborate with talented filmmakers while continuing to develop his own creative voice behind the camera.

Manny has worked on a variety of professional productions, contributing his skills as a cinematographer and camera operator to projects ranging from music videos and commercials to documentaries and community-based films. He is passionate about using lighting, composition, movement, and visual storytelling to bring ideas to life.

Through this masterclass, Manny hopes to give students a hands-on introduction to cinematography and camera operation while encouraging them to explore their creativity, develop their own visual style, and tell stories that matter.

Two masters. One music room.

Our Music Production Institute is getting a rare pairing.

Wayne Linsey has played keys behind Whitney Houston, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Earth Wind & Fire, Chaka Khan, and BeyoncĆ©. Heā€™s been in Maze featuring Frankie Beverly since 1984 ā€” thatā€™s his flute on ā€œCanā€™t Get Over You.ā€ American Idol band. Jay Lenoā€™s final Tonight Show band. He wrote for and recorded with Miles Davis.

r8dio Johnson grew up in the studio as the son of George Johnson of The Brothers Johnson, then built his own name. In-house producer for Will Smith. Credits with Solange, Kelly Rowland, Jennifer Lopez, Eve, En Vogue. He worked on the Grammy-winning ā€œCranes In The Sky.ā€
Wayne opens the morning with beat foundations and how sound tells a story. Troy takes the afternoon and turns it into a real score. Together itā€™s a whirlwind, and weā€™re fortunate to have both.

Ten students. One day. An opening song, a closing song, and a score for the short film theyā€™re shooting that same afternoon.
