Our team just got back from Malawi — and we're still carrying it with us.

We had the chance to visit Hope Business Hub, meet entrepreneurs face to face, walk through their businesses, host a workshop, and spend time encouraging the local leadership that shows up for these men and women every single day.

It's one thing to talk about what entrepreneurship can do for a family, a community, a generation. It's another to sit across from someone who's living it.

We're so grateful for everyone who makes trips like this possible — your generosity is what puts our team on the ground. More stories coming soon. Thank you for being part of this.

Something powerful happens when someone learns why their business works — not just how to run it.

This spring, entrepreneurs in Malawi went through business training with Hope Ventures' Hope Business Hub. These are a few of the moments that stuck with them.

Small businesses. Real families. Lasting change.

More entrepreneurs. More demand. More momentum.

James and his team in Malawi are doing the work — and people are taking notice. Be part of it.

In Malawi, over 90% of jobs are in the informal economy—where income is often unstable, and opportunities to grow are limited. For many families, this means living day to day, with little margin to weather setbacks, let alone plan for the future.

Favor Jones, a third-year student at African Bible College, was selling used cars on a small scale, but his business lacked consistency. Without a clear strategy for engaging customers or understanding their needs, it was difficult to generate a reliable income.

All that began to change when he joined Hope Business Hub—our local partner—and became part of their current training cohort, which began in February. Through the training, he is learning to understand customer needs, communicate value clearly, and take practical steps toward growth.

"Through Hope Ventures’ training, I’m not just learning a skill. I’m gaining confidence, clarity, and the tools I need to turn my dream of a T-shirt printing business into a real and sustainable source of income,” says Favor.

As his thinking shifts, so does his direction. Favor is now building a T-shirt printing business and has begun selling golf shirts and stocking T-shirts.

Favor's story is still unfolding, but the trajectory is clear—he is building a more stable and sustainable future.

Thank you for investing in people like Favor!

No one builds a thriving business alone.

This is from a recent Business Association gathering in Malawi—entrepreneurs coming together to share ideas, talk through challenges, and learn from one another.

Training matters.
But it’s community that helps businesses last.

In Zimbabwe, Ashalt and Beauty are creating more than chicks—they’re creating opportunity.

Farmers bring their eggs, and 21 days later, they leave with new life.

This hatchery is helping families grow income, strengthen their farms, and build a better future together.

Real poverty alleviation isn’t about dependency — it’s about capacity.

Entrepreneurs in underserved communities don’t need rescuing.
They need opportunity, training, and a supportive ecosystem.

That’s where we focus our energy.
