Happy Earth Day 🌍

Today, we reflect on the connection between human, animal, and environmental health.
At PSCTP, this is central to our work through the One Health approach.
Our scholarship program supports Tanzanian students pursuing careers in medicine, nursing, and social work, strengthening healthcare in their communities and addressing local health challenges.

On this World Health Day, we acknowledge the critical importance of science, compassion, collaboration, and curiosity to keep our Earth healthy and protect all living things. As we explore the heavens, we must recognize that for now this is our only home. 🌍

Today, on what would have been her 92nd birthday, we remember Jane Goodall and honor the first annual .

This year’s theme, Hope in Action, reflects what she showed the world every day: that what we do matters. Through her work, she inspired generations to protect fragile ecosystems, respect all living beings, and support communities in need.

Jane was also a friend to our organization. Her values, compassion, respect for all living beings, and a commitment to improving the world, closely align with the values that guide our work in Tanzania today. These values are reflected in our One Health approach, recognizing the connection between people, animals, and the environment.

She never lost hope, and today, we carry that forward.

In honor of International Women’s Day, gifts are matched up to $2,500 through March 8.

As part of our Give to Gain campaign, we are highlighting what this year’s theme means to the women who help lead our work. PSCTP volunteer and Scholarship Committee Chair, Mary Mendelsohn, shares what “Give to Gain” means to her.

PSCTP’s Scholarship Program invests in long-term local healthcare and community partnerships. When you give, you are investing in individuals who are building stronger healthcare systems from within. Give today and help us unlock the full match before International Women’s Day ends on March 8!
