Donated funds will be redistributed to Black Pasadena residents in the form of stipends to c

over various expenses related to living, community, health, and education. We encourage anyone, especially those with economic and/or white privilege, to consider giving back to the Pasadena Black community in a time of dire need of both economic and racial justice. Our movement serves as a way for residents to help residents during this crisis by redistributing wealth and resources from those who are most comfortable to those who need them most. Our goal is to help one another and uplift those most impacted by both structural and personal hardships while creating an ongoing community of care and service.

As we celebrate and close out the 100th Anniversary of Black History Month, we at PBEP want to share the history and traditions of Black mutual aid organizations and their importance 🌹! We hope folks find the relevance + understanding of mutual aid in collective care and communal resilience. Thank you all for rocking with us since 2020 ✊🏿✊🏾✊🏽!!

has distributed approx. 45 hygiene kits to Black unhoused and/or Black residents experiencing housing insecurity around the Pasadena/Altadena area (e.g., Central Park, Jackie Robinson park & rec center, La Pintoresca Park & Library etc.).

We have left a supply of hygiene kits, first aid kits, and menstrual products at the on Lincoln & Woodbury. Please spread the word and pay a visit if you are in need of hygiene products!

Hi community!

We are partnering with the Occidental College’s Intercultural Community Center to distribute hygiene kits for Black Dena residents during the holidays.

We are accepting donations today, Monday 11/17 & Wednesday 11/19 from 10am-5pm. Donations can dropped off at the Occidental College Intercultural Community Center located at 1501 Campus Road, LA CA 90041.

~~We are working diligently to relaunch a branch of the mutual aid fund in the coming weeks & all the proceeds PBEP receives from this event will go toward the mutual aid fund for Black residency’s in need.

🖤❤️💚 BLACK HISTORY MONTH ANNOUNCEMENT 💚❤️🖤

The Pasadena Black Equity Project is excited to share we have created a Black History Month commemorative project “Rose Seeds: Pasadena Futurism!” Our work will be on display at La Pintoresca Library through the month of February!

Come join us for the opening of the display Saturday, 2/3!

Our display features local, Black history, centering our values of mutual aid, political education and archiving.

You can check out our local family history photos, a central part of our archiving work, and celebrate Pasadena’s Black history!

We look forward to meeting you Saturday 2/2 at La Pintoresca Library!🌹
