With policy changes more important now than ever, we are sharing key insight from our Head of Policy, Trisha Dello Iacono, on why transportation decarbonization is so important to her work.

“Transportation decarbonization means scaling the solutions we already know work. We’ve watched zero-emission trucks slash emissions in real deployments, utilities rewrite the rules to speed energization, and states stand up creative, next-generation policies that give this industry the certainty and scale that it needs to keep advancing the transition. Smart, durable policy ensures that those wins become the norm – and that’s why this work matters to me.”

Despite federal setbacks, the transportation decarbonization movement is continuing to build momentum for 2026. To continue our spotlight on this movement, we are excited to share a message from our Senior Marketing Operations Manager Krista Guthrie on what transportation decarbonization means to her and why it is so important.

“As an adult I developed an allergy to smoke and one time I had a really bad reaction. I was struggling to breathe for hours and eventually my lips started tingling. My entire focus shrank down to getting that next breath deep enough to count, to counter the feeling of floating away. No one should suffer that moment of fear, not knowing when they'll get their next breath.”
