🎼 Global Philharmonic Competition Finals Successfully Conclude in Los Angeles
The Finals of the Global Philharmonic Competition were recently held at the Colburn School in Los Angeles, bringing together an outstanding group of young musicians from a broad range of disciplines.
Over the years, Global Philharmonic has provided a platform for young musicians to showcase their artistry, engage in meaningful musical exchange, and pursue continued artistic development. The competition has welcomed distinguished faculty members from renowned institutions, including the Colburn School and the The Juilliard School, to serve on its jury panels.
Through its competition, festival programs, masterclasses, and performance opportunities, Global Philharmonic continues to support emerging artists in gaining valuable musical and professional experience.
This year’s competition attracted an exceptionally strong field of participants, with more than one hundred finalists advancing across a wide range of disciplines, including voice, woodwinds, strings, chamber music, and piano.
Attention now turns to the upcoming Global Phil Music Festival this August.
Outstanding prize winners from this year’s competition will be invited to perform at the iconic Walt Disney Concert Hall, home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic. The performance will provide these young artists with an opportunity to share their musicianship with a wider audience in one of Los Angeles’s most celebrated concert venues.
The August festival will also feature an exciting series of educational programs led by department chair and faculty from the Colburn School, alongside artists from the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Participants will have the opportunity to attend masterclasses, lectures, workshops, and private lessons while engaging with leading performers and educators in the field.
We look forward to welcoming this year’s distinguished award recipients to Los Angeles in August and celebrating their continued artistic growth and achievements.
