Young Professionals of Labette County YPLC is an initative which offers innovative ways for young professionals in Labette County area to socialize and expand their professional horizons.

Our vision is for Labette County to become the heartland's destination for young intellectual capital. Who are YPLC? Young professionals between 21 and 39 who are ambitious, educated and wired: those ready to work hard, play hard, and make a difference in their community. Young Professionals of Labette County is a networking organization designed to engage an emerging group of leaders committed to

personal growth and career development while serving Labette County and the surrounding area. YP promotes career and business networking, social interaction, and community service while hosting a variety of events throughout the year. If you appreciate the value of developing friendships, giving back to the community and networking with other young professionals, you will find YP to be the best place to grow your professional network of associates and friends. How does YPLC work? Events are specifically designed to professional and socially immerse young professionals in the Labette County community. If you are new to the area or looking to meet new friends and
professional contacts, YPLC activities provide an excellent avenue toward making valuable connections and getting involved in the community. Why join YPLC? By uniting diverse young professionals across the county, YPLC creates a force that will both strengthen and grow Labette County and entice even more young professionals to live, work and play in this community. More young professionals mean a stronger community and more opportunities for everyone. In addition to becoming a member, individuals can choose to extend their involvement into one of the tracts of interest. There are five areas to get involved:

Events | Get involved and have fun doing it! Bring this organization to life and have fun doing it! Plans & organizes all YPLC events & presentations. Membership | Share the YPLC experience! Make it known that the Young Professionals of Labette County is the place for Labette County’s next generation of leaders. Welcomes new members, works on retaining membership, plans additional incentives such as t-shirts & discount cards. Public Relations | Let your creative side take center stage while creating both internal and external marketing pieces, press releases, social networking, YP website and more. Service | Enjoy giving back to our wonderful community! Work jointly with other
organizations and local charities! Also keeps track of service hours and money donated. Community Engagement | The purpose of the committee is to provide YP members with a forum to hear about and discuss issues that affect them and the community. These can range from transportation to the job market to recycling initiatives. If you are looking to really dive into community involvement while growing as a professional, this is the perfect committee
for you!

The SEK Museum Alliance is coming to Parsons! Please RSVP @620-450-6060 if you plan to attend. Registration starts at 8:30 AM & the meeting begins at 9 AM. There will be light refreshments in the morning and lunch following the meeting! The Parsons Historical Society & Museum Complex will host tours following the meeting. Hope to see you there!!
