Parents: If you interested in your kids bowling. C&H Lanes is again doing youth bowling in Chanute on Sunday afternoons at 1 pm. I know its a bit of a drive, but the kids have a lot of fun. C&H also has redone some of it's interior and put in new scoring machines/monitors. It's fun watching the Chanute kids go head to head with the Parsons kids. One day we may get youth bowling back in our hometown, but until then life is short and we aren't waiting around on others to get our kids active. Hope to see some of you there next week.

Congratulations to our own Layton Lewis for shooting a 204. His first ever 200 game. Also, Congrats to Nicky Whitaker on 4-200 games so far this year. TJ Whitaker has also shot a 200 game this year. Our Parsons Youth Bowlers are killing it.

Attention Followers: Chanute Bowling League starts today. Bowling Begins at 1pm. Today will probably be a little longer due to getting teams set up and USBC registrations done. Price is $10.00. This league is sanctioned and tournaments will be available throughout the year. Come join us up there. Oh and by the way, Opie's Pizza in Chanute is AWESOME so join us after bowling for some Pizza.

Hello followers. Wanted to get the word out that the Chanute Youth Bowling League is back and begins on September 8th at 1pm. League is $10 a week plus a one time $4 for USBC membership. An attempt was made again to get Youth Bowling back to Parsons, but unfortunately nothing could be resolved with owner and our Parsons USBC chapter again. We will continue to promote the Chanute League and take our kids there until the time comes when we can get our league back. 4th St. Bowl in Joplin is also doing a Youth league on Saturdays if that is better for anyone.

Group Message: Kids Bowl Free is kicking off for the summer if you want your kids to get some free bowling in. It appears that Grace Lanes in Columbus has been sold and is now Bowl Blvd. They are no longer offering Kids Bowl Free at the Columbus alley. That was our closest participating alley. I have signed my kids up along with a family pass at Carl Richards 4th St. Bowl in Joplin. We will go to that alley since we tend to visit Joplin more in the summer than during the school year. Participating centers can be found at www.KidsBowlFree.com site. There are also two alleys in Carthage that are offering free bowling. One is the new G3 center that has arcade and other activities besides bowling. Anyway, thought those of you that are interested may want to check it out. The Parsons Bowling Alley has closed for the summer so if you want to bowl it will have to be elsewhere. Click the link below and get your kids signed up. It's free unless you get the Family Pass. Family Pass for 4 is available for a discounted rate on the site.

PS. The parents of Parsons need to put some pressure on the ownership of Parsons PK Bowl to reinstate the youth league, and also to just have the alley open in the summers just in general.

Parsons kids just finished up Bowling in Chanute today. The kids had a good season. Both Parsons Youth teams finished in the top 3 of the league. Chanute does have a summer youth league for those interested. Just get a hold of Randy Schoenhofer at the Chanute alley. Proud of how many Parsons kids decided to keep bowling despite our home alley refusing to offer a reasonable time and price to bowl. We had the Chanute alley full on Sunday afternoons.

Reminder: For those interested. Chanute Youth Bowling League starts this Sunday 9/10 @ 1pm. This is a USBC sanctioned membership league so all games count towards awards and tournaments. Randy is super excited to have us and it should be a good time.

Dear members: The Chanute Youth Bowling League will beginning on September 10th @ 1pm. Are there any of our Parsons youth bowlers that plan to go up there and bowl? Randy is trying to get prepared and was wondering how many others may come up. I just told him my two for now, but if your interested let me know so I can get back to him. Cost will be $9.00. They will bowl most Sundays but not every Sunday due to a traveling league that comes in once in a while. This is a sanctioned league like ours was and will qualify towards games bowled for tournaments. Grace Lanes in Columbus also has leagues forming but they are not associated with the USBC and games bowled there do not go toward awards or tournaments.

If interested in Chanute just give me a shout so I can relay it to Randy.
