We recognize the hard work of Valerie Szepiwdycz and Leah Batstone, two former Zorya Ukrainian Female Vocal Ensemble members whose involvement was monumental to making last weekend’s concert “Notes From Ukraine” in New York City a success. The concert featured an historic performance of the popular Christmas carol “Shchedryk”, sung 100 years after its North American debut at Carnegie Hall.

Valerie (Executive Producer) and Leah (Creative Director) both sang and performed with Zorya in recent years before relocating to the East Coast.

Congratulations, ladies, on your achievements!
