After years of leadership, advocacy, and service to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community, we’re saying farewell to Tim Skaggs. 💙

As Director of the Community Center for the Deaf & Hard of Hearing, Tim has been a passionate advocate for accessibility, communication rights, and opportunities for the Deaf community. His work has extended far beyond the walls of CCDHH—building connections and advocating for greater access throughout Northeast Ohio and beyond.

We are incredibly grateful for the time, heart, and dedication Tim has given to CCDHH and the community we serve. While we’ll miss having him with us, we’re excited to see where this next chapter takes him.

Thank you, Tim, for everything you’ve done and for the lasting impact you’ve made. We wish you nothing but the best in what comes next. 🤟💙

For our DeafBlind/Low vision viewers– I am wearing green polo shirt, black curtains behind me, black hair, hazel eye.

I am showing you our Deaf Health Day flyer…. We are excited to announce that we are hosing Deaf Health Day on September 12, 2026 from 9 am to 4pm. It will be at our office, 6284 Pearl Road, Parma Heights, Ohio. Doors open at 9 am , Talks will begin around 9:30am. Two special people will join us. DeafMed, Britny, Deaf nurse , and ASL Nutritionist, Sandria, Both ladies are Deaf and will present in ASL. It will include lunch by Kelly Parker, her company, Stand Out Bites will provide lunch. Our talks will include general information on our health and some of it will include diabetes. Please come and join us and be a part of our first Deaf Health Day!
