It appears to be an ambush on the Parkville area residents, with the city's actions potentially leaving them uninformed until it is too late. By sharing the following article, I hope to circumvent this. I also strongly urge the city to open public comments on this critical agenda topic prior to ANY....

J.C. Nichols pioneered racial covenants in Kansas City’s surrounding enclaves. The country is still grappling with them.

From Madea Hayden:

Neighborhood Garage Sale October 7th, 8th, & 9th!

Please email [email protected] with your address and planned participation days! I’ll make a list of addresses to advertise on social media! If you want to include a few keywords for what your sale will have that is welcome as well!

Neighborhood garage sale signs will be sponsored by:

This is not HOA planned. This is just a great way to do some clean-up before the Parkville clean-up days!

If you don’t have enough for a sale of your own please email me and I am willing to add it to mine. Item(s) will need to be priced before drop-off. Unless they are donated.

Kids will be selling bracelets and drinks! Be ready for cute little sales ladies and remember to drive safely.

Any soft items such as clothing you would like to donate afterward would be amazing as well. We have someone who will collect the items and drop them off!

Larger item donations may be an option if there is interest. We do have a trailer we could use for this.

Thank you!
