There is a Code Red Alert for June 11 and 12th! ⚠️ 📢 🚨

This can be dangerous for older adults, young children, individuals with chronic health conditions, and those who work or spend extended periods outdoors.

Please take the following precautions:

• Stay hydrated throughout the day.
• Limit outdoor activities between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
• Wear lightweight, loose-fitting clothing
• Use sunscreen when outdoors
• Spend time in air-conditioned spaces when possible
• Check on vulnerable family members, neighbors, and friends
• Never leave children, older adults, or pets unattended in vehicles

Join Montgomery County’s Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) for a free Spring Forum, “Help for Recovery thru Connection,” on Thursday, April 30, in Rockville.

The forum offers practical tools to help individuals and families navigate conversations around mental health and substance use, connect with local resources and support loved ones through prevention, crisis and recovery.

When: Thursday, April 30, from 6 – 8 p.m.
Where: Bauer Drive Recreation Center (Social Hall), 14625 Bauer Drive, Rockville

The event features:
A Resource Fair with local organizations (starts at 6 p.m.).
Discussions on accessing County mental health and family services.
SSL Hours: Students can earn up to 2.0 hours (parental consent and student ID required).
CEUs: Social workers can earn up to 1.5 units.
