On August 10, 2026, Delmarva Toastmasters Club was invited by the Office of Residence Life - University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) and Clifton Harcum CEO of Live Now to speak to approximately 90 new and incoming Resident Assistants (RAs) at UMES in Princess Anne MD. Mr. Michael Hoy also of Dynamic Leadership and Debedeavon clubs presented a formal structured speech while Mr. Dennis Lawson presented an informal speech both around communication and leadership which is important to the RA's positions. Ms. Terri Patterson also of Debedeavon Toastmasters and Dynamic Leadership clubs presented a round of table topics (impromptu speaking).
