On behalf of the Parks Community Center, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended the Parks Homecoming Reunion this past weekend. It was wonderful to reconnect with old friends, meet new acquaintances, and celebrate our community together.
We are truly grateful for the generous donations received, which will help support the upkeep of the Community Center grounds and cover utility expenses throughout the year. Your generosity plays an important role in preserving our little schoolhouse for future generations.
We would also like to recognize those who helped make this year’s reunion such a success. Special thanks to Jeff and Melissa Brewer of Needmore Que for volunteering their time and talents to prepare the delicious pulled pork; Pat Combs and Kay Moran for providing the side dishes; Darren Hunt for supplying the sound equipment; Brittany and Alex Maine of the Waldron News for video recording memories of past alumni and residents; and the many individuals who generously donated items for the silent auction. There were so many contributors that we hesitate to name them all for fear of unintentionally overlooking someone, but please know that every donation was greatly appreciated.
A very special thank you goes to Lou Nell Davis for her efforts in connecting with former alumni and Parks residents and for serving as our guest speaker. Her continued dedication and support were invaluable to the reunion.
We sincerely appreciate everyone who contributed their time, talents, resources, and support. Because of you, the Parks Homecoming Reunion was a memorable and successful celebration of our community. Thank you for helping keep the spirit of Parks alive and thriving.
