CMHT, inc We are a local business that does hose and ground ladder testing for Maine fire departments as well other companies.

We are a local business that is currently focused on helping Maine fire departments to meet their safety requirements. Right now, we are just offering hose testing services. In order to meet NFPA standards, these tests are required to be done annually. Unfortunately, there are many departments across the state that aren't able to meet these requirements. Maine has roughly 500 municipalities with 4

33 fire departments and most of them are volunteer or only partial paid. Being volunteer fire fighter families ourselves, we noticed that there was a need; especially where the number of volunteer fire fighters has been consistently decreasing over the years. It can be hard for a small department to pull a crew together for the hours and manpower that it takes to complete these tests, especially when many fire fighters are obligated with their full time jobs and their families. It can also be hard for a larger paid fire department to fit it into their schedule as they are often very busy with the many services they provide to the municipalities. We are looking forward to expanding our services offered in the future so that we can have even more ways to help our communities and businesses in this great state we live in.
