The Parkesburg Area Special Events Committee presented donation checks to five area non-profit groups at Parkesburg Borough Council meeting on Monday, December 19. On hand to present the checks were PASEC President Kathy Rick and Financial Secretary Jack Mariano Ms Rick remarked that donations from various sources allowed the fund-raising group the opportunity to present fireworks display on two occasions in 2022 and assist in producing the Borough’s 150th Birthday Celebration in May.
PASPEC was formed in 2015 as a 501(c)3 charitable organization when the Chester County Criterion Bike Race decided to vacate their annual event.
Accepting checks for their respective non-profits were:
Parkesburg Churches Community Outreach – Tina Myers and Rev. Mark Beideman.
Keystone Valley Fire Department - Scott Kreger
Parkesburg Free Library – John Wick
Parkesburg Point – Bud Herman
Octorara Food Cupboard – Judy Dougherty
