By now, some of you have heard the big news! We're heading to Panama in 2027! This trip will be for students currently in grades 10-12. (Don't worry if you aren't in those grades; we will still have Brother's Keeper and will take a mission trip every summer with the goal of traveling internationally every 3 years.)

We will have an information meeting for parents on Sept 6 at 4:00 PM for anyone who is interested. Then, after the meeting, we will be doing another Parent vs. Students Trivia night at 5:00, so hang around for the fun!

Get ready for an afternoon of fun! On Sunday, August 9, our students will be heading out for our annual Water Slide. We will meet at the church at 2:45 PM and return around 7:15 PM. Students should wear camp-appropriate swim attire, bring a towel, and be ready for a great afternoon together. See less

Flood Relief Support Update! We are so thankful for your outpouring of support! We are still collecting items, but want to update you on what the biggest needs are currently.

Right now they are good on bottled water, bleach, cleaning products, cleaning wipes, paper towels, and toilet paper. Don't worry if you've already purchased those items they will still be put to good use throughout the area!

Some of the biggest needs now are paper plates, plastic utensils, extension cords, box fans, water hoses, and personal hygiene products. Mutual aid has also made a request for first aid kits, bandages, hydrogen peroxide and laundry detergent. (NO medicines please!) Thank you again for you support!

We have an urgent need for Mission MOV! Late last night North Central WV was hit by severe flooding. Many individuals have been displaced, are unable to return home, and several have lost their homes.

To help with recovery South Parkersburg Baptist Church and The Waypoint will be collecting supplies for victims of the flooding.

We want to fill the church bus with as many supplies as possible to help everyone in need.

Mission MOV 2026 is off to an incredible start!

Today our students had the opportunity to serve alongside the wonderful volunteers of Stone Soup at South Parkersburg Baptist Church. Stone Soup is an incredible ministry that provides nourishing meals for our unhoused neighbors throughout the Mid-Ohio Valley. Each week, volunteers prepare soup and other meals that are delivered to multiple locations, helping feed around 100 people daily in our community. Our students jumped right in, chopping carrots, celery, onions, and peppers that will be used to prepare future meals for those in need.

In the afternoon, our service looked a little different. Students created origami butterflies, painted pictures, and made other thoughtful crafts that will be delivered to cancer patients in hospitals as a simple reminder that they are loved and not alone.

Of course, it wasn't all work! We enjoyed a fun game of kickball during lunch (a huge thank you to Jennifer Turner for providing a delicious meal for everyone!) and wrapped up the day by celebrating the birthday of one of our incredible adult volunteers.

Thank you for praying for Mission MOV! Please continue to pray for our students and leaders as we serve at several more locations throughout the week. Pray that God would continue to open doors for meaningful conversations, strengthen our students as they serve, and use every opportunity to reflect the love of Christ to those we meet.
