Today, Parker Rotary welcomed this year's foreign exchange student, Colin from Belgium.

Sasha Ross was awarded Rotarian of the Year!

Lety Lopez upgraded from a red badge to a blue badge.

Several other members received awards for their participation and service throughout the year.

Yesterday's Parker Rotary Meeting was a great success! We were honored to host Brad Yarbrough, the new Code Enforcement Officer for the Town of Parker Police Department.

Officer Yarbrough shared his mission to foster code compliance through community education and outreach.

Key takeaways included the Town's partnership with ARF, La Paz County, and CRIT Animal Control to ensure public safety regarding loose animals, and insights into Arizona laws and proactive management steps for feral cats by the Town and ARF. 🐾

The Parker Rotary meeting recap for May featured Deniese Perez from Roots & Ryse Studio, who provided information on upcoming classes and natural supplements available. A flyer detailing the classes is attached. Additionally, Jesse Carrillo, a previous Academic Scholarship recipient, updated the group on his educational progress, noting that he is currently enrolled in the Doctorate of Physical Therapy Program in Utah. La Paz County Parks also provided an update on the golf tournament sponsored by Parker Rotary. The 2026 Academic Scholarship recipient is Mischa Escobar, and the 2026 Vocational Scholarship recipients are Cami Romo and Haylee Enriquez. Natalia, our foreign exchange student, delivered her farewell speech and presented a slideshow with her host moms.

We had Lillian Perez from The Colorado river Regional Crisis Services, domestic violence and sexual assault services agency in the La Paz County area. April is sexual assault awareness month. She talked about bringing awareness to SA, the main advocacy days (wear teal day and wear denim day), how to respond to a victim of SA, and our agency statistics.

They assist with domestic violence, sexual violence, human trafficking, stalking, and teen dating violence. They can assist with safety planning, legal advocacy, emergency shelter, and many more services.
