Hi Parker,
I’ve raised my kids here, met some of the most amazing people, and seen how a community can come together when it counts.
Often, the folks who really show up for others aren’t looking for recognition. I’m thinking of people who shovel a neighbor’s driveway without being asked, coach our kids long after theirs have grown, or step in to help when someone’s going through a hard time.
Two years ago I started making wooden American flags as a simple way to say thank you to my friends and family.
Recently I decided I’d like to do the same for our community. I don’t sell them. I want to give them to our neighbors here in Parker who make life better in quiet, everyday ways.
This is NOT about politics or what signs you have in your yard. It’s just about appreciating the people who show up for others.
If you know someone who desrves a small token of appreciation, I’d love to hear their story. I’ll do my best to get them a flag and share their story (if they allow me).
You can tell me about these deserving neighbors in a couple of ways:
- Drop a comment on this post so others can see their good deeds!
- Or, just send me a private message, if you want to keep it anonymous.
Either way, I’ll do my best to reach out and see if I can make them a flag.
Thanks for helping shine a light on good people in our town!
