Logan Bauman Memorial Fund

Logan Bauman Memorial Fund Logan Bauman died suddenly as a pedestrian in a traffic accident near his home on December 6, 2008 at the age of 14. He loved life and the people in his life.

Logan made a huge impact during his short time on earth. There was a certain sparkle about Logan that lit up a room. Sports were important to Logan, especially football and the Parker Hawks, for whom Logan played quarterback in his final season. Logan chose to view the cup as “half-full.” His enthusiasm, optimism and hustle distinguished Logan’s approach to sports – and life. Logan enjoyed school

and being with his friends and teachers, and believed knowledge provides empowerment and choices. Logan was a world-class player of Guitar Hero and delighted in proving it to anyone who dared to test his skills. A natural leader, Logan never took more from a relationship than he was willing to give back. Logan was a great friend to so many people and though he may be gone, he will never be forgotten.

Happy 2025! Starting in 2026 the LAB Foundation has decided to post the annual letter to our page (Logan Bauman Memorial Fund) and on our website www.loganmemorial.org in place of emailing the annual letter. Please check the LAB Facebook and website for foundation updates and events and feel free to share our page with others who may be interested in the LAB Fund.

Regis Jesuit High School and our sponsor students remains the cornerstone of our endeavors within our foundation. It is hard to believe we welcomed our eighth RJHS student this fall. Jayden is a freshman in the boy’s division. We were able to meet him for our annual lunch along with Brooke who is a sophomore in the girl’s division. We have included a short bio on the students that also can be found on our LAB website www.loganmemorial.org.

My name is Brooke, I am currently a sophomore at Regis Jesuit. I am so thankful to be able to receive this scholarship to attend Regis Jesuit. It's an amazing opportunity, and I am so lucky to be part of the community here. Outisde of school I have continuously loved soccer and skiing. They are my favorite ways to stay active and challenge myself. I really enjoy spending time with my friends, no matter what we are doing. Regis has been an incredible place so far and I have grown so much academically and personally, and I am once again so grateful for the chance to be at this school.

My name is Jayden. I am a freshman at Regis Jesuit High School, Class of 2028. I am extremely grateful for what the Bauman's are doing for not just me, but many other students, future and past. When I first discovered Regis Jesuit, I was drawn in by its academic excellence as well as the sports programs. I wanted to go to Regis Jesuit so that I might have a better chance of success and achieving my goals in life, and because of Mr. and Mrs. Bauman and Logan’s scholarship, I am able to do so. I plan to take full advantage of the opportunity that they have presented me and use what I have to positively change the world.

Once again we are very thankful for your continued support to Logan’s Foundation and to our family. The foundation continues to support various projects and since its inception in 2009, we have distributed almost $350.000 to different organizations and hundreds of recipients. We thank every one of you for your continued support in helping us in keeping Logan’s legacy alive and for allowing us the opportunity to provide many wonderful opportunities for the recipients. We look forward to continuing to support many of our core sponsorships in the ensuing years and will keep you updated on all our future undertakings.

With kind regards,

Andy, Karla and Alyse Bauman

Dear friends and family,

Happy 2024! Wishing you all a very blessed and heartfelt new year!

This past year the foundation was able to continue to support several programs. These programs include contributions to a Parker elementary school for books, Castle Rock elementary school backpack food program, Heartlight Center, Stable Strides, Imperial Baseball Foundation and Boy / Girl Scout Troops to name a few. In addition to these programs, we remain devoted to our commitment in supporting students at Regis Jesuit High School. This last Fall we were able to welcome our 7th RJHS student. Brooke is a freshman in the girls division and we look forward to getting to know her over the coming years. We always look forward to our annual lunches with the students and it is hard to believe that Ja’lyn will graduate this spring and we wanted to share a little note from him:

“My name is Ja’lyn Jackson and I would like to firmly extend my gratitude to the Baumans for everything they have done for me and for this amazing opportunity that has been awarded to me. I am in the Class of 2024 and went to public school prior to Regis Jesuit. I’ve always sought an academic challenge and I’ve been provided that here. While at Regis Jesuit, I have played soccer, participate in Technical Theater Club, Drama Club, the Future Business Leaders of America (in which I have leadership positions), Ethics Bowl and National Honors Society. As a senior, I am on the cusp of reaching the success I’ve worked so hard to obtain. Reflecting on the last four years of my life, I am realizing what a blessing it has been, one that I would not exchange for anything. My plan for the future is to go off to college and study business psychology. All these aspirations and past successes are deeply rooted in the opportunities that the Baumans have provided me with through their investment in my future. Not all heroes wear capes but if the Baumans had some in their closet I wouldn’t be surprised.”

LAB Golf Tournament 2.0 is still currently on hold. Although the team continues looking to do something in 2024, the venue and format is still being worked on. We will keep you updated as things progress. If you are a Facebooker please go out and like Logan’s page “Logan Bauman Memorial Fund” or drop us an email at [email protected] so we can make sure and keep you updated. The website has been updated, so we encourage you to go to the events tab to see the happenings of 2023. www.loganmemorial.org

Once again, we are very thankful for your continued support to Logans’ Foundation. Since starting our foundation in 2009, we have distributed over $300,000 to different organizations and to hundreds of recipients. We thank each and every one of you for your continued support in helping us in keeping Logan’s legacy alive and for allowing us the opportunity to provide many wonderful opportunities for the recipients. We look forward to continuing to support a number of our core sponsorships in the ensuing years and will keep you updated on all our future undertakings. Thank you once again.

Dear friends and family,

Happy 2023! Wishing you all a very blessed and heartful new year!

This past year the foundation was able to continue to support a number of programs. The programs include contributions to the youth coat drive, Lexi Rufenacht’s LLS campaign, Ron Berry Memorial Fishing Derby, elementary school backpack food program, SCORE, and an Eagle Scout project to name a few. In addition to these programs, we remain devoted to our commitment in supporting students at Regis Jesuit High School. This last fall we were able to meet in person with Rosalyn ’23 and Ja-Lyn ’24. Both students are thriving with their academic endeavors and are grateful for what the foundation has allowed them to experience by attending RJHS. Rosalyn will graduate this spring and we wanted to share a little note from her:

“I’m a senior at Regis Jesuit and I’m super excited! It’s surreal how fast time goes. It has been a journey, and the Baumans have been there for me the whole time. From the moment I stepped into the school to now, as I’m so close to reaching the finish line, they’ve seen me grow. It is thanks to them that I had the opportunity to attend Regis Jesuit and now, head to a good college. So far, I’ve been accepted to every college I’ve applied to, and I owe some of that to the Bauman Foundation. They believed in me and aided me in my quest for a good education and it’s finally paying off. This is why I thank the Baumans for paving a way and letting me walk that path—not only me but also all those who’ve come before us and the ones that will come next.”

And a LAB News Flash! Could there possibly be a LAB Golf Tournament 2.0? We would like to share that the foundation was approached by some of Logan’s classmates who are considering stepping up to host another Logan Bauman Memorial Golf Tournament. We confided in Alyse with respect to her thoughts regarding this idea, and she is eager to be a part of the LAB tournament 2.0 as well. The preliminary plan is to have a 2-day
tournament in June or July of 2024 in Chase County. The format will be a two-person scramble including one day at Imperial Golf Course and the second day at Enders Golf Course. We will keep you updated as things regarding the tournament develop, and when the new “administration” is put into place. Of course, Mr. B and Mrs. B will be taking a complete back seat to allow this next generation to run with it – hah

We look forward to
