Photo challenge Day 2: Photo of Little America Bolero Perfect Dream (aka Dreamer). A three year old tiny (under 30") gelding who is my "therapy" horse. I am going to do a Photo Challenge for the month of October. A photo a day using only the camera on my phone (not use my big digital camera) of a horse, donkey, mule, or something happening around the Mini Ranch during that day. October 1st - yesterday: N&D's Lonestar Little Rascal (22 year old registered spotted mini jack). He has been with us since he was a wee weanling. We use him as the biographical storyteller for the famous western photographer William Henry Jackson who was a part of the Hayden survey group. Jackson is the photographer who took the famous photograph of Colorado's Mount Holy Cross.

Throwback Thurday post---things we have done in the past as a nonprofit. It was in August 16 years ago (2010) that we had an outdoor booth at Littleton's Western Welcome Week. It was so much fun! We talked to many people about what we do with our miniature horses/donkeys which fits right in with Western Welcome Week since we use the horses/donkeys to teach about Colorado and Wild West History. Might have to think about having a booth there next year (2027)! And of course walk a couple of costumed minis in their Parade!!!!!

Due to the fact I am dealing with a horse health issue that required a vet visit this evening I am having to cancel my booth at the Parker Homeschool Day tomorrow. Maybe we can participate next year.

Excited!!! We are already great responses to our postcard advertising that were in the Welcome Bags for last weeks Rocky Mountain Homeschool Conference! What a blessing it is to support homeschooling families!

Photo: Booth from last year's Conference (2025). Maybe we can do a booth again in 2027... our schedule just didn't work out for us to have a booth in 2026, thus we only did the poscards.

Happy Grand Re-Opening of our Little Free Library today June 1st. Come Take A Book and Leave a Book to share with others. Super excited to re-introduce a Little Free Library here at Blessing Way Mini Ranch. We took down our other LFL for the winter. This is a new and different one. Since we are advertising our Little Free Library in the Rocky Mountain Homeschool Conference's Welcome Bag we needed to get it up and running before the Conference dates mid-June. Gently used children's book donations are appreciated. Just contact us before dropping off any donations. Thank you (-: !
