“God needs people who are willing…not perfect."
God wants to use you to ‘make a difference' in the world. He chose ‘you’ to be a world changer! God wants to work through you! As Pastor Rick Warren writes in Purpose Driven Life, “What matters is not the ‘duration’ of your life, but the ‘donation’ of it. Not how ‘long’ you have lived, but ‘how’ you have lived.”
“Abraham was old, Jacob was insecure, Leah was unattractive, Joseph was abused, Moses stuttered, Gideon was poor, Samson was codependent, Rahab was immoral, David had an affair and all kinds of family problems, Elijah was suicidal, Jeremiah was reluctant, Naomi was a widow, John the Baptist was eccentric to say the least, Peter was impulsive and hot tempered, Martha worried a lot, the Samaritan woman had several failed marriages, Zacchaues was unpopular, Thomas had doubts, Paul had poor health, and Timothy was timid.”
That is a quite a collection of misfits, but God used every one of them! God wants to use ‘you’ too; all you have to do is quit making excuses. We are reminded of this in Ephesians 2:10,
“For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
