The LPGA Amateurs - Pittsburgh Chapter Mystery Golf Event was a huge success! 2 vans full of curious and trusting golfers launched from our meeting place to a mystery location for a day of golf. We headed west into Ohio, arriving in East Canton, the home of Clearview Golf Club. We were greeted warmly by LPGA Legend and Head Professional Renee' Powell, the second Black player on the LPGA tour, whose father Bill built the course himself after returning from service in WWII.
After a brief history lesson and some story telling, we teed off for our round- Renee' suggested we would enjoy the course the most from the forward tees, so we did! Our round was cut short as the rain, thunder and lightning came hard and fast, but as you can see from the smiles - a great day was had by all!

Congratulations to Judith Mazzitelli for claiming First Place Low Gross Net in her flight in the LPGA amateurs Open Championship in Myrtle Beach July 10-11.

Lots to think about when addressing the ball but Karen Bennett simplified it at the Full Swing Clinic. I think a good time was had and everyone walked away with at least one pointer.

June 9 marked the 32nd year of the LPGA amateurs Pittsburgh. We had a nice Happy Hour at the Finch to commemorate. Great view and better people! Oh the cocktails were good too

Join us on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Bob O’Connor Golf Course for a fun-filled event designed exclusively for female participants of all experience levels.
Participants can choose:
🏌️ 9 holes on the Bob Course
🏌️ 3 holes on the beginner-friendly Palmer Loop
⏰ Tee times run from 9:00 AM–11:30 AM, followed by:
🍽 Lunch

Thanks to Liz Caplan for spending the afternoon with us! Liz is the Program Director for the First Tee of Pittsburgh. Looking forward to seeing her again at our event on June 6th.
