Lesson 29 | The Lord Reigns 👑

When the world feels uncertain… when things seem out of control…
God’s Word reminds us of an unshakable truth:
The Lord reigns.
Over all nations.
Over all people.
Over all creation.

The psalms we’re studying this week declare it again and again —
His reign is eternal, righteous, just, and certain.

📖 “The world is established; it shall never be moved.”

No matter what we see around us, we can rest in what is forever true:
God is on the throne.

What we fix our hearts on shapes who we become.

The psalms we studied this past week don’t just call us to remember — they call us to worship rightly.

✨ “We become like what we worship. If we worship God, we become like Him.”

When we remember God’s goodness, His power, and His faithfulness, it naturally leads us to worship.

And as we worship Him, He transforms us — shaping our hearts, our thoughts, and our lives to reflect Him more and more.

Today I have a challenge for you, let’s be intentional about what we’re focusing on…
and who we’re becoming. 🤍

How do we truly know God?

We study His Word.
We pray.
We worship.

But this week, we’re reminded of something we don’t always think about:
We know God by remembering what He has done.

The psalms we’re studying are filled with reminders of God’s faithfulness across generations — His power, His provision, His presence.

When we remember His past faithfulness, it strengthens our present faith.

✨ “Remembering is essential to remaining faithful.”

As we gather this week, may we look back and see clearly:
God has always been at work — and He still is.

He is risen… and that truth is still changing everything. ✝️✨

Even though Easter Sunday has passed, we’re still living in the joy of the resurrection — the reminder that Jesus is alive, hope is real, and God is always at work.

And in that same spirit of anticipation and new life, we’re so excited that our 2026–27 CBS study has officially been revealed! 🙌
(Are you excited?! We are!)

God is moving in every season — through celebration, through study, and through this beautiful community. We’re so grateful to walk it all together. 💛

The psalms we’re studying this week may feel uncomfortable at first. They contain strong words and urgent cries for justice.

But they also show us something important: God welcomes honest prayer.

The writers of Psalms 28, 58, 83, and 109 didn’t hide their feelings from God. Instead, they brought their struggles directly to Him, trusting that He would respond with wisdom and justice.

When we face anger, injustice, or hurt, we don’t need to suppress those emotions — we can bring them before the Lord and ask Him to guide our hearts.

Prayer becomes the place where our emotions are shaped by God’s truth.

✨ Quote of the Week ✨

“God absolutely cannot tolerate wickedness. It is counter to all He is.”

God’s holiness means that evil and injustice cannot stand in His presence. The imprecatory psalms remind us that God sees wrongdoing and cares deeply about justice.

When we face situations that feel unfair or broken, we can trust that God’s character is perfectly righteous. He will judge evil in His time and in His way.

Our role is to bring our concerns to Him in prayer and trust the One who is both just and merciful.

The book of Psalms teaches us many ways to pray.

Some psalms are full of praise and thanksgiving. Others express sorrow and longing. But this week, we encounter a different kind of prayer — psalms that ask God to judge evil.

In Psalms 28, 58, 83, and 109, we see believers bringing their deepest frustrations and cries for justice directly to the Lord.

These passages remind us that God invites us to bring everything to Him in prayer — even our anger, confusion, and desire for justice. Rather than taking matters into our own hands, the psalmists place their trust in God’s righteous judgment.

This week we’ll explore what these challenging psalms teach us about God’s justice and how we can pray faithfully when facing evil in the world.
