Our next testimonial comes from Amanda Valenti. She was one of our first interns who became part of the Bridging the Gap Collective. "This experience laid a strong foundation for both my
professional and personal growth, and I’m deeply grateful to have been part of such a thoughtful and supportive environment." Please support our program by taking some time to donate using the QR code or the link here: https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=RUM43Q6LDBZA6

Our next intern story comes from Daniel Ivanov. Another amazing clinician who started off as an intern and has also become a fully licensed clinician. "The most rewarding aspect of this role was witnessing the transformative effects of finally providing an affordable and consistent therapeutic space in the lives of folks who have for so long fought to gain the support they deserve." The first intern whose story we would like to share with you is Cy Watson! Cy started off as a wonderful intern as part of the collective and has grown so much that they are now a fully licensed clinician. "The necessity and value of the Bridging the Gap initiative were immediately apparent when I started seeing clients. Many of my clients came in after years of struggling with mental
health issues on their own. I could feel their relief and gratitude when they were given access to consistent support from someone genuinely invested in understanding their experience. It made
me aware of how few services exist for people who genuinely want therapy but have no way to access it, and it reinforced why this work matters so much to me." To continue supporting our collective, please scan the QR code or click the link here to make a donation on this lovely Giving Tuesday! https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=RUM43Q6LDBZA6

November is Men's Mental Health Awareness Month, and we wanted to give one of our interns a chance to share their thoughts on the importance of this month. This quote comes from Marilyn Markech: "According to the Illinois Department of Public Health, men are less likely than women to seek social or professional support for their mental health struggles. The lack of support prolongs and worsens these struggles, leading to increased death by su***de for men globally. Everyone is loved by someone, regardless of gender. Men deserve to not only survive but thrive in this world, and it is entirely possible. Sometimes, the hardest step is the first one: acknowledging your struggles and asking for help. There are resources available, and people rooting for you!"
