Yesterday, OAI was proud to host our Job Fair and Hiring Event in Markham, bringing together job seekers, employers, and community partners for a day focused on opportunity, connection, and career growth.

From our Employer Network Breakfast Session to the job fair itself, attendees had the opportunity to connect directly with employers, explore career pathways across multiple industries, and access valuable community resources.

A special thank you to Mayor of the City of Markham, Roger A. Agpawa and Mariyana Spyropoulos, Clerk of the Circuit Court of Cook County, for joining us and supporting this important event.

Thank you as well to all of our employers, partners, and attendees who helped make the day a success. Together, we’re building careers and changing lives.

Our team recently had the opportunity to tour MxD in Chicago, where advanced manufacturing, automation, AI, robotics, and digital technologies come together to shape the future of industry.

Seeing these technologies in action reinforced the importance of preparing today’s workforce for tomorrow’s careers. Thank you to the MxD team for the insightful tour and for showcasing how innovation is transforming manufacturing.

Yesterday was a special day at OAI as we proudly accepted a $150,000 IMPACT Grant from NICOR Illinois Community Investment (NICI)!

We were honored to welcome members of the NICI team, Park Forest Mayor Joseph Woods, Jon Kindseth, community partners, and former OAI participants who shared how OAI’s programs helped them build new careers and create new opportunities for themselves and their families.

This grant will help us continue expanding workforce training and changing lives across our communities.

OAI, Inc. has been awarded an Impact Grant from Nicor Illinois Community Investment (NICI). This generous investment will support our continued work to provide workforce training, career opportunities, and supportive services to individuals and families throughout South Suburban Cook County.
