November craft sign up sheet is ready for anyone 18 or older that would like to make this crown royal hand soap dispenser. All crafters are asked to bring a blow dryer to help speed up the drying process.

Autumn is the perfect time to "fall" into great books, so that is exactly what we did at storytime today.
Our seasonal books were, "Have You Seen My Acorn" by DK Ryland and, "Fall Is Not Easy" by Marty Kelly. "Fall Is Not Easy" is a picture book told from the point view of the tree and a great way to introduce the concept of empathy to young children. We pretended to be squirrels with bushy tails, we danced with leaves and we painted with sponges creating trees full of beautiful autumn colors.

Just an FYI . . . We will be CLOSED Saturday, October 24th, but you can still find us out and about!
Come on down to FRIGHT FEST and see if you can recognize a few of your friendly (or maybe spooky?) librarians! 😉
And, of course, we'll have some treats waiting for you at the TRUNK or TREAT portion of the festivities!

Thank you Michelle Chizek for the very informative and educational presentation on "The Night Peshtigo Died." The casualties and devastating outcome from the fire of 1871 was horrific. I highly encourage everyone to read the book and encourage educators to reach out to Michelle to talk about the deadliest fire in US history.

Anyone ready for a spooktacular blind date with a booook? All books are $5 and proceeds go towards adult programming. Thank you Jennifer Bourgard for donating all the books and wrapping them so beautifully with added little gifts attached! All items are for purchase starting on the 6th, not the 26th.
