FOOTSTEPS IN HISTORY 👣⛪️: When you’re literally hiking back in time on stone footpaths (kalderimia) on a remote island in Greece. 🇬🇷

We stepped in a time machine transporting us 4,000 years to Byzantine and Venetian eras when this network of stone paths was expanded, paved, and connected coastal ports, agricultural valleys, and upland villages.

Sleepy Amorgos’s Melania trail network linking the coastal town of Aegiali to the mountain village of Lagada are old, traditional routes that have existed for thousands of years, tracing back to classical and ancient civilizations.

How wondrous to feel so minuscule in the grand scale of this beautiful culture.

WHAT A GIFT: Spending 24 hours immersed in a canyon with a meandering creek less than 20 minutes from home. Bathed in hues of autumn, alongside laughter, nourishment & creative expression. 🍁🌙🌾✨

We cocooned ourselves away & allowed presence to wash over us, bathing in the simplicity of sisterhood, sacred silence & Mother Nature’s creatures who showed up in the form of muskrat totem and mythical dragons of the air and fire. 🐉🔥🐲

Circle wisdom activated deep remembrances. Stranger became soul sisters. What wonder unfolded in the serendipity of likeminded hearts brought forward by one magical night.

What a gift! Thank you to my enduring sister Randi Jo Randi Jo Greenberg and the beautiful women who said YES with all their hearts.

Where the awareness emerges that we’ve been here before.

This is not new. It’s ancient.

Steeped in bloodlines and ancestral lineages and deep echos from time before our own.

We felt into the tenderness of patterns, and rebirths, and old & new timelines merging and diverging.

What sweet medicine to be held. To arrive. To rest. And to let it all crumble, burn, weep and replant itself all over again.

We burn. We decay. We root. And we rise again….
