Congratulations to our Ecker Hill MS ensembles on FANTASTIC performances at the UMEA State Festivals! The ensembles had a fabulous time performing at the University of Utah and receiving wonderful feedback from adjudicators!
Orchestra 3 received superior ratings!
Concert Band received superior ratings and also received superiors in sight reading!
Band 3 received excellent ratings!
Way to represent Park City!

We were lucky to have Jessica Altarriba, Associate Conductor of the , work with our chamber orchestra over the past two weeks! We learned so much from her and feel even more prepared for our concert on March 25.

Congratulations to the Varsity Jazz Ensemble and JV Jazz Ensemble on FANTASTIC performances at region. Both groups received superior ratings, and Varsity qualified for the State Jazz Festival with straight superiors (no minuses.) Way to represent our community! Go Miners!

Congrats to our very own Owen Smyth for playing with the UMEA All State Jazz Band this year as the lead tenor!!! His performance, under the direction of Annie Booth, was EXCELLENT.

A HUGE congratulations to our very own Zachary Giddings for receiving the Outstanding Middle School/Jr. High Educator of the Year award from the Utah Music Educators Association.

Mr. Giddings is the heart and soul of our 6-12 grade band program and we are truly SO lucky to have him in our schools. He puts in many hour of work helping our students reach their full potential in music. Mr. Giddings is so deserving of this award, please help us in congratulating him!

Go and see our very own and perform with the Utah wind symphony! We are very lucky to have such incredible faculty at our school, this will be a great concert to go and see what they can do! Student tickets are free if you bring your student ID!

Several of our EHMS and PCHS band and orchestra students had the opportunity to participate in UMEA All State ensembles last weekend! They gave fantastic performances and we are so proud of their hard work!

We want to give a big thank you to Park City School District for taking the time to recognize these students at yesterday’s board of education meeting. We know that administrative support for music directly affects student success in music, and we are grateful that our school and district administrators are so supportive of our programs!

We also want to give a big thank you to for funding two classroom grants that provided assistance to students while they were preparing their All State Auditions. We are so grateful for their continued support!

With the winter concert over, our 6th graders are working on some music computer science MAGIC! Thank you to Ms. Marshall for helping us create these lessons so the kids can have fun not just playing their instrument, but learning how to code and introducing them to the cool world of music technology!!!

This year’s gala is February 13, 2026 and will include a catered dinner and dancing along with performances from our Varsity Jazz Band, Chamber Orchestra, and Concert Choir students. Mega congratulations to all of our Park City music students who qualified to perform with the UMEA All-State ensembles! These students all had to prepare a rigorous etude and submit an audition to qualify for the top honor ensembles in the state. It is incredibly competitive to be named a member of all the ensembles. Congratulations to every student who auditioned; we are proud of the work and progress all of our students have made! See them at Abravanel Hall on January 16 for band, January 17 for orchestra!!! We are excited for our students to represent our schools and community and perform with the best of the best in the state!!!
