Good morning neighbors,
Few items:
1. The road crew truly does appreciates art, humor, and kids just being kids. Nonetheless, “dirt bike art”, skids, and “burn-outs” on our roads does damage the surface and creates uneven wear and maintenance issues. We’d be grateful for any help in avoiding similar artistic expressions😄.
2. Summer culvert work is underway. Ponderosa west is the current focus. Along with culverts, road shoulders damaged or collapsed are being reestablished. This area will be the focus for the next few weeks. Please remember, heavy equipment operators can’t always see you. Whether you’re walking, biking or driving….. PLEASE STOP and make sure the operator or road crew member waves you through the work area and then proceed through the area slowly. The TSSD road crew uses cones to warn drivers of active work areas.
3. Speed bumps are in place at three locations. If you’re concerned about speeding and excessive dust in your area of the neighborhood and believe speed bumps are warranted, contact TSSD or message me on this page.
4. It’s summer so road parking is authorized but in many areas it creates hazards and road damage. Our roads are narrow, and in many places, road parking restricts traffic and blocks larger vehicles such as firetrucks and large delivery vehicles. There have been numerous instances of neighbors and visitors parking with their tires in the culverts thinking they are providing more road clearance. Although true, this severely damages and collapses the road shoulder and destabilizes the culverts. Please use the available community parking lots or your driveways instead of parking in narrow road sections or culverts.
5. Please make sure when ordering items that will be delivered, the delivery instructions direct residential delivery versus mail kiosk delivery.
Thank you
