Cross Country Ski Coach Emma Garrard sits down with Bari Nan Rothchild of TEDxParkCity to discuss youth winter sport opportunities. Garrard has focused her efforts on diversity and inclusion, developing opportunities for more kids to have access to winter sports. She currently serves as Director of the Cross Country Ski Program at the Park City Ski and Snowboard Nordic Club (a youth development program) and is an avid triathlete, marathoner, and cross-country skier.

American poet and educator Katharine Coles presents her original work “A Poet’s Guide to Time Management.” This piece was presented virtually by Coles, and was specifically created for the TEDxParkCity Women event held on December 15th, 2021. Coles served as Utah’s third poet laureate from 2006 to 2012. She became a faculty member at the University of Utah in 1997, and was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship in 2012.

Amanda Rebel, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the Denver, CO area, discusses eco-anxiety and climate-related stress with TEDxParkCity Founder Teri Orr. Rebel treats climate-related grief and trauma as part of her work. In this talk, she offers strategies for having productive conversations around the ever-relevant topic of climate change.
