We celebrate the life of Eva Marie Saint (1924–2026), a true trailblazer whose grace and vulnerability on the silver screen reshaped what camera acting could be. She won an Academy Award for her very first film role, as Edie Doyle in On the Waterfront, and went on to star opposite Cary Grant in Hitchcock's North by Northwest.

Her career spanned stage, television, and film across more than seven decades. Eva Marie Saint built a career on her own terms. Her work is a reminder that a life in the screen industries can be both extraordinary and fully lived. We were honored to celebrate her as the recipient of the Legacy Series Spotlight Award at the 2010 WIF Crystal + Lucy Awards, a recognition of the path she paved for women in the industry to follow.

Thank you, Eva Marie, for a legacy that will outlast us all. 🎬
