First two Nametags of the school year at Ecker Hill Middle School. I premiered our version about seeing others the way they want to be seen for the 6th graders. It was a smashing success that lets us return to the same students two years in a row. Very exciting. Thank you Ecker Hill for a wonderful start. As always let us know if we can visit your school.

Hello Utah Friends,

We’ve started our Nametags Tour in Utah at the Salt Lake Academy. Like climbing Kilimanjaro, this kicks off a trek to reach 70 schools and before and after school programs this year and more as Salt Lake approaches hosting the Olympics and Paralympics again. We’re starting with three Paralympic athletes in addition to me, who will visit schools with the message, “It’s not what happens to you. It’s what you do with what happens to you.” One Revolution is the lucky recipient of two big grants that will allow us to offer a program that costs $1,500 in Utah and more in the rest of the country for just $200 per school. Please help us reach your child’s school. We’re excited to be part of an initiative to empower our students with a message of resilience and mental health.

Our Story

One Revolution’s Nametags™ Educational Program, is an assembly program, using accomplished Paralympic Athletes to draw on their stories of success in the face of adversity. The assembly program uses our motto, “It’s not what happens to you. It’s what you do with what happens to you,” and teaches students the 4 Ss of Resilience, questions we ask ourselves when things go wrong. Our intentionally universal message encourages students to apply our tools in resilience to see obstacles as opportunities for growth and learning instead of roadblocks. We all face challenges. How we address our challenges determines our success.

Nametags Educational Program looks at the labels, often the limitations, we put on ourselves and others. Presenters inspire students to challenge those limitations, encouraging them to create Nametags - concrete representations of the goals they want to pursue and the people they want to become.
