Mountain Trails Foundation

Mountain Trails Foundation Building, maintaining and protecting non-motorized trails in Park City, Utah since 1992. A member-supported nonprofit organization.

BUILD, MAINTAIN, PROTECT
Mountain Trails Foundation is a member-supported, non-profit organization dedicated to building, maintaining and protecting trails for non-motorized recreation in the Park City area. Creating and maintaining a seamless, year-round trail system is a monumental undertaking. Mountain Trails works closely with Park City Municipal (the City), Snyderville Basin Special Recreatio

n District (Basin Rec), Deer Valley and Park City Resort, local land trusts and private land owners. FUNDING TRAILS
Funding for both winter and summer operations comes, in large part, from membership, donations, corporate support, grants and revenue from our 4 trail races: Round Valley Rambler, Jupiter Peak Steeplechase, Mid Mountain Marathon and Tour des Suds. ADVOCACY
Trail advocacy is part and parcel to protecting access to trails. Mountain Trails helps keep trail users up to speed on etiquette and safety issues by providing on-trail signage, messaging in social media, and a monthly newsletter. By keeping trail users in the know, we help mitigate conflict between user groups and make the trail system a safer, happier place to play.

⚠️Trail Closure Alert – Mid Mountain (Tommy Two Step to Mother Urban) ⚠️

Heads up, trail users! There will be a short section of Mid Mountain temporarily closed starting today, June 9, for work at the King Shop at Park City Mountain. This work is expected to (hopefully) wrap up by Friday, June 12.

Hard closures will be in place at: Tommy’s Two Step and Mother Urban (at Mid Mountain).

🔁 Detours will be clearly marked to keep you moving:

• Mother Urban at John’s 99 – stay aware if you’re heading toward Park City trails, as continuing up will route you toward Deer Valley/Daly Canyon

• Mid Mountain at Empire Link – turn here to avoid riding into the closure zone

Please follow all posted signage and respect closures for your safety and to support crews working to complete the project.

See attached map for closure reference.

63 volunteers. One morning. A whole lot of trail work.

Today for National Trails Day, volunteers joined Mountain Trails Foundation, Park City Municipal’s Trails & Open Space team, and Utah Open Lands at Clark Ranch to help build, maintain, and improve local trails.

Huge thanks to everyone who showed up ready to work. Every shovel, rake, and wheelbarrow load helps create better trails for our community to enjoy.
