Nationally known cowboy poet Ron Wilson shares humorous, patriotic, family-friendly poetry and stories celebrating Kansas cowboy history, folklore, and the spirit of the Old West.
Saturday Night (5/23): Kansas Folk Dance & Music
Musician and dance caller Derrick Doty leads an interactive evening exploring traditional Kansas folk dances, including square dances, circles, contras, and more — no experience needed!
“Kansas Folklife: Celebrating Kansas Traditions” is part of “By the People: Beyond 250,” a national initiative of the Federation of State Humanities Councils and the Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage.
