Meet our SIS athlete, Elayna.

“Sisters In Sports filled a hole for me. It really supported me as a whole athlete.”

That’s what this is about. Being that community for every SIS athlete. Being her support system. Showing up for her. Be Part of Her Team today.

Give today through the link in our bio.

Be Part of Her Team—Give Today.
Link in bio. Kate shows up every day. Through the hard days. Through the doubt. What most people don’t see is everything it takes to stay in sport. No athlete gets there alone. She needs a team behind her, with her beyond the finish line.

Today is National Adaptive Sports Day 🤍
And for us, this day is more than recognition — it’s personal.
Adaptive sport changes lives.
It builds confidence, independence, identity, and belonging.
But what people don’t always see is what it takes to stay in sport.
The cost.
The isolation.
The moments of doubt.
The question so many athletes face: “Can I keep going?”
That’s why Sisters in Sports Foundation exists.
We don’t just help women and girls with disabilities find sport —
we stand beside them so they can stay.
Through mentorship.
Through community.
Through real financial support.
Through mental health resources.
Because no athlete should have to chase her dreams alone.
Today, we celebrate every adaptive athlete —
their strength, their resilience, and their courage to keep showing up.
And we recommit to walking alongside them —
beyond the starting line, beyond the finish line, and into everything they are capable of becoming.

At Sisters in Sports, we know that every one of our athletes is balancing a lot: training, school, work, family, and everything life brings with it.

Wherever they are right now, we want to meet them there.

At the same time, we want to continue creating spaces that help them take their next step, not just in sport, but in life.

That’s why, every month, we hold roundtables for our athletes to be able to show up for one another, and for themselves.

Behind every athlete on the world stage…there’s a circle of people who got them there.
Husbands. Fiancées. Sisters. Brothers. Friends. The ones who show up early, stay late, and believe - especially in the hard moments.
This is what support looks like. Not just at the Paralympics in Italy… but every single day leading up to it.
At Sisters in Sports, this is what we believe in: that no woman should have to chase her dreams alone.

Behind every athlete competing at the Paralympic Games, there are people in the stands who made the journey possible.

Parents, siblings, partners, friends, and teammates who traveled across the world to be here in Milano Cortina. They were there for every race, every run, every high moment and every tough one.
Supporting, cheering, and standing beside these athletes through it all.

We loved seeing our SIS athletes compete, and we’re grateful for the families and supporters who were right there with them the entire way.
