Looking for a meaningful way to give back from the comfort of your own home? Our Kindness Cards Project is the perfect opportunity to brighten someone’s day while making a real impact in our community.
This special at-home volunteer project is simple, flexible and full of heart:
✨ We mail the cards directly to you
✨ We include pre-paid envelopes to send them back when you’re finished
✨ You receive volunteer hours for the time you spend creating them
Your handmade kindness cards are shared with our partner organizations and tucked into food boxes, hygiene kits and other care items given to people in need throughout our community. A few thoughtful words can remind someone they are seen, valued and cared for during a difficult time. 💛
If it’s hard for you to leave home, or if you’re simply looking for a way to volunteer on your own schedule, this is a beautiful way to stay connected and help others. One card at a time, we can spread encouragement, hope and kindness to neighbors who may need it most.

Your strongest muscle and worst enemy is your mind. Train it well! Today is National "Train Your Brain Day" and we know how important that is! Social interaction, physical activity, and just getting out of the house can all help your mental health and well-being. Volunteering is a great way to train your brain to think more positively as well. Crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, or learning one new word a day are some other ways to keep your mind sharp!

Paris Junior College has opened a wonderful spot on their Paris campus, the "Dragon Lair." This is a place where students, staff, and visitors can grab something to eat or drink, meet and relax, study, or just spend time together. They are looking for volunteers that can help assist with light duties Monday through Friday between 7:30-8. Anytime that you could give during those hours would be greatly appreciated. Today is "National Taco Day" and this is a day I can really sink my teeth into! So, go out to your favorite restaurant and order a big mess of tacos! My favorite place for tacos is Fuzzy's. What is your "go-to" place for tacos and Mexican food? Comment below!

I always have so much fun calling bingo at the Sulphur Springs Senior Citizen Center! If you live out that way and haven't seen it yet, don't walk....RUN! It is an amazing facility run by the amazing Dawna Pryor! You will be glad you did!

Kelly and I were at the Red River Valley Fair this morning handing out RSVP goody bags and treats! We ran into a lot of friends and shared the word about our amazing RSVP program. At bingo, Kelly handed the winner of the door prize she made their goodies. We had a lot of fun and can't wait to do it again next year!
