Hopkins County Community Chest has a HUGE need for volunteers to help with the variety of resources that they offer the Hopkins County community. They are not just a food pantry, They work to help clients with their basic needs of food, water, electricity, gas, shelter, and hygiene. They are a wonderful resource for people who need these necessity items. Do something small to change something big. What a turnout we had in Hopkins County at the Sulphur Springs Senior Citizen Center celebrating our Volunteers and Stations. John Little was awarded Volunteer of the Year and the Hopkins County Museum and Heritage Park was awarded the Station of the Year. We had a totally "far-out" time! It is such an honor to know these men and women that work so hard to provide for their communities. Thank you to everyone that came and thank you to Dawna at the Senior Center for hosting us. It was so much fun!

Pictured below is Tammy with Lennox Health Resource Center accepting the 2025 Red River County Station of the Year. And next, our 2025 Red River County Volunteer of the Year is Jim Clark. Doris Green and Jeanne Waller are just a couple of our RSVP Volunteers that participate in our "Kindness Cards" Project. This is something that you can do in the comfort of your own home. This is the only volunteering many of our Volunteers do but they love that they can still be an RSVP Volunteer and receive hours for their work! We mail you all you need and you mail it back in a pre-paid envelope. If you are 55 or older and would like to be an RSVP Volunteer for our "Kindness Cards" Project, please message me below or call 903-782-0440 and talk to Courtney.
