We get contacted a lot for help with specific needs that people have. We do not have the resources or repair program but thought it would be good to share that the United Way of West TN may be a good source to find direct help.

CommunityOS is an I&R, Disaster, and Public Health client database and case management system.

A large crowd was on hand today to help the Habitat for Humanity of Paris and Henry County celebrate and dedicate their latest house at 612 Irvine Street built in partnership with the family of Rose Reiter. This is the 33rd house this chapter of Habitat has built in the Paris community.

Habitat for Humanity of Paris and Henry County builds one home each year. The recipient family must work at least 400 hours of "sweat equity" as part of the agreement. Many community volunteers work to help build the house. Currently the board is accepting applications through May 31st for the next local Habitat house which will be starting in late summer or early fall.

Applications and information can be found on the Paris/Henry County Habitat website at http://www.henrycountyhabitat.org . Applicants begin with submitting a pre-application which can be downloaded and printed from the website. Applications should be submitted by mail to Habitat for Humanity of Paris/Henry County, P.O. Box 91, Paris, TN 38242.

According to board member and construction supervisor Hank Rendleman "The biggest need is simply for community members to show up and volunteer to help. Even having a club or a business sponsor a day of labor would be a huge help!" For more information about volunteering to help out building the next Habitat house, contact Hank Rendleman at 731-336-3387.
