🎉 A NEW CHAPTER FOR THE PARIS FISHPONDS! 🐟

After years of planning, fundraising, and incredible community support, we’re excited to celebrate the groundbreaking for the Save The Ponds restoration project!

📅 Friday, September 18, 2026
🕒 Groundbreaking Ceremony – 3:00 PM
📍 Paris County Park — report to the Paris Park Office to be directed to the event.

The groundbreaking celebrates the funds raised and the construction contract awarded for Phases 1, 2 & 3 of the project—a major milestone in bringing this historic site back to life.

Then, keep the celebration going! 🎶 From 6:00–9:00 PM, join us for a Community Celebration in the Park featuring live music, food vendors, and fun for the whole family.

🚗 Vehicle entry fees will be waived for everyone attending the day's festivities!

Come celebrate the history, the progress, and the future of the Paris Fishponds. We hope to see you there! 💚🐟

On August 15th from 12 pm – 4 pm we'll be joining the Muskegon River Watershed Assembly during their River Day at Hemlock Park, helping to celebrate the power of people that make a difference to the health and beauty of the Muskegon River.

Things to see and do around the Paris Fish Hatchery....

#1 Feed the trout.
#2 Check out the inside of the Hatchery building for fun history, fish facts, and coloring.
#3 Grab a book from the nearby Free Little Library.
#4 Explore the White Pine Trail (by foot or bike).
#5 Visit/camp at Paris Park.

We often get asked if there are fish here now at the Paris Fish Hatchery, and the answer is YEAH🐟

You can feed trout in pond 1 (up front next to the Hatchery building), ponds 2-5 currently remain closed - with construction anticipated to begin this October!🏞👏
