Paris/Logan County Senior Citizen's Inc

Paris/Logan County Senior Citizen's Inc The Paris Senior Center serves as a gateway connecting North Logan County’s aging population to nu We cannot address this need without your help.

The Center is your local charity delivering Meals on Wheels so no senior in North Logan County goes hungry. Since 1975, we have been providing critical services, resources and programs to seniors in your community and in those around you. The Center offers a wide variety of programs and services including health, fitness and wellness programs, transportation services, public benefit counseling, em

ployment assistance, social and recreational activities, educational and art programs, and inter-generational programs. The Center is experiencing a significant growth in the number of seniors in our community who participate in the activities mentioned as well as those that require Meals on Wheels. Most are on fixed incomes and unable to pay for the activities, transportation and meals or can only afford a minimal donation. We hope we can count on your generous support. Our largest expense is our meals and your contribution can mean so much for our neediest seniors who are challenged in meeting the increased costs of living. Did you know the issue of accessibility and transportation is a reoccurring theme in the inability to keep the rural elderly from going hungry? Also, poverty and unemployment rates are higher and earnings are lower in rural Arkansas than in metropolitan areas, with the rural elderly more likely to be poorer than the urban elderly, so they have far less savings left for necessary things. This includes our Veterans, too! Today you can make an immediate difference in the life of a home bound senior and our Center participants by donating food, money and most definitely your time! As always, we are grateful to have friends and neighbors like you!
